Council members with Number One trophy

COUNCIL 10205 EARNS NO. 1 IN COLORADO

Council 10205, St. Thomas More, was named the number one Council in the State at the Colorado State Convention in April. Led by Grand Knight Tim McKenna, the Council surpassed all other Councils in the Gold Category, which is the category of the largest councils in the state. The Council earned points for its Charitable, Community, Youth and church service.

Highlights of the year included an Octogenarian Party for member Knights 80- years and older; and special memorial service honoring deceased Knights. Other activities included:

  • Drive For the mentally handicapped (Tootsie Rolls)
  • RSVP program of financial support for Seminarians
  • Children’s Free Throw Tournaments
  • Kids Christmas Party
  • Men’s choir
  • Bingo
  • Keep Christ in Christmas
  • Easter Food Box Drive for the Food Shelters
  • Financial support for Pro Life causes
  • St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance for the Parish
  • Oktoberfest for the Parish
  • Day of Recollection
  • Family Communion Breakfasts
  • Lenten Fish Fry’s for the Parish
  • Steak Fry’s for the Parish
  • Spaghetti Dinner for the Parish
  • Fix-up projects around the Church
  • Altar Server Recognition program
  • Memorial Mass for deceased Knights and Families
  • Children’s Essay Contest for STM School scholarships
