The Knights of Columbus have always been interested in the development of strong, vibrant families. In support of this philosophy and to create an even greater awareness of poor many fine Columbian families, the Supreme Council instituted the Family of the Month Program in 1978. The following factors are considered :

• Has the family made significant contributions to the Church, community and/or Council?
• Does the Family enjoy one another?
• Does the Family share experiences?
• Does the family communicate openly and honestly?
• Does the family pray and attend Mass together?
• Does the family spend its time together interacting instead of in front of the television set?

2007

Our Family of the Month for July 2007 is  

The Family of Joe Lamb.

JULY 2007:  Lamb Family

Each month, one member of Council 10205 is singled out for the honor of Knight of the Month.
Selection is made based on the Knight who has exhibited the virtues of Charity, Unity and Fraternity in the most positive way for that month.
The Grand Knight awards him a Certificate and his name is submitted for State Council Knight of the Month.
At the end of the Colombian year, he may be selected for Knight of the Year honors, as well.
